Your vote matters: Nominate Artisans Hand!

The nominations round for the 2025 SEVEN DAYSIES nominations are underway and today is the last day to cast your vote!

Artisans Hand would love for you to nominate us in the categories of Best Craft Gallery (under Culture) and Best Place to Buy a Unique Outside Chittenden County (under Shopping).

While these awards might not seem that important, they really do pave a way for our small business to catch the eye of those who might otherwise might not know about us.

We represent more than 130 Vermont-based artist businesses and are honored to be able to share the work of your friends and neighbors.

Vote now! It's super easy and you can feel good knowing that you did your good deed for the day.

Thank you so much for supporting our small business. And be sure to show love for all of your local favorites!

New Work!

We love when we discover new artisans whose work we can then share with our customers. Our fair state has a lot of creative talent! Below you can read about two of our newest exhibitors. We hope you love their work as much as we do!

Chester artist Mary Teichman has been printmaking for more than forty years. Her prints are made using linoleum cutting and etching techniques.

Mary loves the unpredictability of the medium and seeing how the image changes throughout the process. “My color etchings are triggered by things I observe: a color or texture, a slant of light - especially those that evoke memories."

In addition to being a printmaker, Mary has illustrated children’s books and is a talented calligrapher.

Gina Petteys' jewelry designs are often inspired by nature. "I give a blank metal canvas new texture, color and form with an organic feel."

A native Vermonter, Gina uses various techniques to create her intriguing surfaces and patinas, and often highlights the inherent qualities of the metals used. She feels that each piece of jewelry she makes informs the piece that comes after it.

Gina's home studio in the woods is located in Morrisville, VT.

Bridge to a Bright Future: Montpelier Alive’s 25th Anniversary

If you're just joining us, you should know how much we love being part of the Montpelier business community. So much of the vibrant energy in this sweet little city is due to the incredible work of Montpelier Alive.

Join us in celebrating this wonderful organization's ☆ silver ☆ anniversary (it's a great excuse for breaking out that tuxedo), on Saturday, May 3rd at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Montpelier.

There will be live music, a dance performance, refreshments, and a silent auction. And oh boy, is Artisans Hand well-represented in that auction. You can bid on a gift certificate, plus handmade work created by gallery staff and board members.

For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit the Montpelier Alive website.
