Celebrate at Montpelier Mayfest!
MAYFEST is happening this weekend and downtown Montpelier is going to be hopping!
Here's the rundown of what's happening:
SATURDAY, MAY 3
9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.: Opening day of the Montpelier Farmers Market
Celebrate the season with more than fifty local producers. There will be a live DJ session with Xavier Jimenez of Buch Spieler Records starting at 10:00 a.m. and free High Mowing Organic Seeds.
9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.: Green Up Day
Join neighbors and volunteers across Montpelier (and Vermont!) to help clean up public spaces, trails, and streets. Support the community and celebrate spring together.
10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.: Grand Reopening of the Kellogg Hubbard Library Basement
Tour the newly renovated space, enjoy refreshments and fun activities, and shop the new book shop!
3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.: Montbeerlier
Three Penny Taproom is celebrating their 16th anniversary with live music, a wide variety of beers, ciders, and non-alcoholic beverages. Smash burgers off the flat top and vegetarian options as well.
7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.: Montpelier Alive's 25th Birthday Celebration Fundraiser
Celebrate 25 years of community growth and resilience with the Bridge to a Bright Future fundraising event. Enjoy live music, a cash bar, silent auction (look for goodies from Artisans Hand), and a festive atmosphere, all while supporting the future of Montpelier.
SUNDAY, MAY 4
12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.: All Species Day
Starting in Hubbard Park, call in the creatures of the four directions, honoring the awakening Spring with song, dance, and puppet pageantry. The parade leaves the Statehouse for the Birth of Spring Pageant, Maypole dancing, and more.
