Our Board

Artisans Hand is managed by a six-member board of directors, including jewelers Bill Butler and Lochlin Smith; silk and chenille scarf maker Maggie Neale; fiber artist Paula Smyrski; and potters Leslie Koehler and Lucinda Rochester Smith. The board meets once a month to discuss gallery business, plan gallery activities, and jury prospective exhibitors. Each board member has a specific responsibility (personnel, finance, maintenance, or display) and all work shifts at the sales desk.

We take pride in our knowledgeable and attentive staff, and the warm and welcoming atmosphere we have cultivated in our gallery. Everyone is well-versed in the world of craft, and is passionate about educating the public about the individual artists, their work, and the value of handmade work.
