Five Under Twenty-Five!
Welcome to Artisans Hand's limited series we're calling "Five Under". In these posts, we're highlighting gifts that you can get this holiday season at specific price points.
In these posts, we're dispelling the myth that handmade = expensive.
Today we're looking at Five Under $25.00.
Katie Cavacco of Free Ramblin’ Kids makes magic wands from recycled sweaters & no 2 are the same. Katie hopes to reduce waste created by the textile industry. When you gift a wand, you can feel good buying from an artisan focused on the environment. $22.00 each.
Next, we have True Bayberry candles by Vermont Chandler Candles. There is a traditional saying - "These bayberry candles come from a friend. So on New Year's Eve burn it down to the end. For a bayberry candle burned to the socket will bring joy to the heart & gold to the pocket." $22.50 per pair.
Notecards by Paige Canfield of Carve Designs are great for staying in touch with loved ones. Cards feature reproductions of collages made with Japanese paper. Each box includes 10 notecards & 11 envelopes (in case you mess one up). $20.00 per box.
Next we have origami crane pins by Miya Cline of The Paper Crane. Miya has folded paper since childhood. As an adult, she joined a group to create a senbazuru, a mobile made of 1,000 cranes. Japanese tradition says if you fold 1,000 origami cranes, you will be granted a wish. $16.00 each.
Lastly, we have leather bracelets by Chris Brothers of Brothers Leather. If you're looking for something understated, these leather bracelets fit the bill. They come in assorted sizes & colors, and are perfect for a hip, young person. $17.00 each.
