Montpelier Art Walk is this Friday!

That's just two days away, so come on down to Artisans Hand and get your guide.

What do we have up our creative sleeves for Art Walk? We're featuring Jeff and Ellen Falsgraf of Vermont Spoon. The two artisans handcraft spoons out of locally sourced hardwoods in their Richmond, Vermont studio. They create a variety of cooking and eating spoons, as well as other kitchen utensils such as spatulas.

Jeff will show how to finish-carve and shape with a knife, while Ellen will be sanding and raising the grain, and demonstrating the oiling process. If the weather holds up (the forecast looks good so far), they'll be working outside on our deck. Otherwise, you'll find them inside the gallery.

Jeff and Ellen are bonafide craft celebrities - they were featured on WCAX's Made in Vermont! Check it out.

Art Walk is held every other first Friday in downtown Montpelier. There are 17 venues participating this month and there's a lot to see and experience.

We'll be open for extended hours from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
